Reviews for Osteria Le Sette Chiese
Review highlights
Based on 1,140 reviewsOsteria Le Sette Chiese is praised for its intimate, rustic atmosphere and attentive, friendly service, often highlighted as a key strength. The restaurant’s cozy setting, located on a quiet street, offers both indoor seating with air conditioning and outdoor options, though booking ahead is generally recommended due to its small size. Guests frequently appreciate the generous portions and quality of traditional Bolognese dishes, particularly the taglieri and classic starters. While the overall dining experience is regarded as good value for the quality, some patrons note inconsistencies in certain dishes and consider prices slightly above average for the area. The warm ambiance and helpful staff contribute to a genuine local trattoria feel that many find appealing.
The restaurant is very tiny and it’s strongly suggested to book in advance. Inside it was pretty warm (and I can’t imagine how it will be in warmer seasons!), but the atmosphere was very pleasant. We were very well served but the waiter and food came with perfect timings. The “taglieri” are awesome and are huge. The lasagna unfortunately was disappointing in taste and texture (that’s why 4 starts instead of 5) The cotoletta bolognese was good. I’d definitely go back to try the other dishes, especially the taglieri
Based on a very quiet street where we bought lunch earlier in the day, this small and rustic restaurant is run by a lovely couple who were very friendly. We arrived just after 7pm without a booking and were able to get a table until 9pm. They had other tables outside that did not require bookings. We sat inside as they had air conditioning. There were some lovely options on the menu, and we had one course each and drinks. The lasagna was delicious, with many layers. The ribs were fantastic, a really look u good size portion and served with a very tasty sauce. They were very tender and the meat fell off the bone. The hostess was very friendly, smiley and helpful. She spoke Italian to us and also a little English. Lots of other really good things to try on this menu. Worth booking if you try and go for dinner.
Lovely little trattoria serving unpretentious bolognese classic dishes with a friendly service. The prices might be a bit high for the average bologna.
Very good food, very nice staff, I recommend 100%! It went very fast to have the plates, and it was very cheap for the quality. Probably will go back during my stay.
Sweet trattoria tucked away from the hustle of the central markets. Lovely staff who were helpful in offering suggestions. We had the green lasagne & mixed bread starter to share.
Loved the place, the host, the food. I definitely recommend this place, especially their home made Tramisu and freshly baked bread. The host was very kind to help us order vegetarian dishes from the couple of options available.
We were very lucky. No reservation and arrived at an empty restaurant . 20 minutes later the restaurant was packed. Service was good. Breads were fantastic. Chicken was not what I expected. Veal was good
We went here for lunch food were great but service and staff was little bit of. Also we ask for bread because in every restaurant they give bread without charge but here we pay 2euro for just small bowl of bread. Prices were fair too.
